The junior tournament went well, not as many entires as we hoped,
but still a fun competetive day for all.
Trophies for 1st & 2nd in every event.

U14 Singles

This event resulted in a 3 way tie, with winners determined by game win/loss count.

1st: Hunter Owens (5-3)   
2nd: Jacob Cooper (3-3)
3rd: Khang Vu     (3-5)

U14 Doubles

1st: Khang Vu/Khoa Vu
2nd: Hunter Owens/Jacob Cooper

U18 Singles

Preliminary groups of 4
Top 2 advance to 2 groups of 3 RR
Top players advance to final.

Final
1st: Khoa Vu over Christian Amidi. 8,-9,7,-8,6.
Amidi won the 1st game & had Vu 8-2 in the 2nd.
Vu came back to win that game & eventually the match.
Congradulations to the other players who pushed them hard & made them fight to win.

U18 Doubles

1st: William Bashford/Mathew Martinez
2nd: Khoa Vu/Christian Amidi

Bashford's long pips & Martinez' modified tennis strokes gave the 2 favorites more trouble
than they could handle. Goes to show you that preparing for unorthodox styles is also part
of a good training regimen. The doubles event seemed to be popular & enjoyed by all.
We may try to arrange monthly youth doubles in the future.
